Unhealthy Obsession with Aesthetics
I've lived in many places throughout the U.S., mainly in central North Carolina, Chicago, and more recently, Southern Indiana. I've met and worked with people of many cultures and religions, and I tend to get along with just about everyone. I've always had a passion for art and design. I also enjoy the science fiction and fantasy genre—anything from books to movies to video games. I'm a quiet person with laser focus, but I still like to joke around every now and then. I'm married to a technical genius and we have a large, spoiled-rotten white german shepherd.
I graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in 2001.
I graduated from Barbizon Modeling school in 2002, though I quickly realized that modeling wasn't something I wanted to do with my life.
I began my college career in Criminal Justice in 2004 and decided that was also not for me, so I switched to Graphic Design.
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree concentrating in Graphic Design from Indiana University Southeast in 2011. I love it and I'm sticking with it!
I was a barista for 8 years. I worked at the Unicorn Café in Evanston, Il. for two years and at Coffee Crossing in New Albany, IN for 6 years.
I began working part-time as a student worker for the IT department at Indiana University Southeast in 2008 designing informational materials (posters, flyers, cards, etc) for students that illustrated the technology the unversity had to offer.
Since 2013, I've been a full-time employee of IU Southeast. I work on similar materials as I did as a part-time worker, but now I also work with the web team. I create print material as well as web designs, web sliders, digital signage, and occasionally animated messages. I also provide photography when needed.
